pbandtuna.

It’s not often you find someone that is special enough to propose to and plan a wedding with and invite all of these crazy Internet people to come join you in DC to celebrate your magical union. These are moments to be cherished drink a lot, and that’s exactly what we did this weekend.

Maxie and LiLu were kind enough to plan a huge DC rendezvous and entertain us for the weekend, and organize some shenanigans for us.

On Friday, Maxie, LiLu, Matt, Cavy and I got to Recessions at about 4:30 in the afternoon to stake out a table while we waited for everyone else to arrive. We spent roughly 8 hours there, singing our little hearts out to such karaoke classics like City High’s “What Would You Do?” and Backstreet Boys’ “I Want it That Way”. (You might not believe me when I say this, but we owned that place. Serious.)

Saturday involved food and alcohol, alcohol and alcohol. Maybe a little more food thrown in there too for good measure. We took over Stetson’s for the night, where Alexa introduced me to my new favorite beverage of Blueberry Stoli and water. (Just try it.) Lots of fun and amazing people made the trip to help celebrate, and I think I speak for all of us when I say that #pbandtuna killed us all. (Check out LiLu’s post for the guestbook of awesome.)

Caviandra, I love you. We're basically soulmates and obviously really pretty.

Sunday was recovery time and brunch with Maxie, LiLu, Lexa, Alexa, Matt, Cavy, Katie, and Brad. We said our teary goodbyes and then Maxie, LiLu and I pounded two bottles of wine. Champions right there.

You know, meeting online people in an offline setting is a little overwhelming and nerve-wracking because you never know if they’re you’re going to be as cool as they you come across on a computer screen. Well, I can now say with 100% certainty that a computer screen does these people no justice. They’re fantastic.

SALT THE SNAIL.

P.S. If you’re feeling adventurous, take a gander at our karaoke skills. We’re unbeatable.

we got stared at for singing CityHigh’s “What Would You Do?” at the bar, but we had fun anyway so suck it.

i swear. from jenniferalaine on Vimeo.

LiLu serenades Maxie with “I Swear” while Katie, Cavy and I provide some awesome back up. Don’t judge us.

I am not going to stop bothering you until you move to DC.

Well, that’s a lie. Then I’ll just be bothering you in person.

I am SO jealous that you went. Maxie’s been pulling my leg to go but I already had plans to fly in the opposite direction this past weekend. Glad you had fun.
